Milk Fed - Melissa Broder

Milk Fed - Melissa Broder

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Review: I absolutely loved this book, it does have some triggering themes so that’s something to watch out for. Rachel and Miriam’s relationship was equal parts frustrating and beautiful, Rachel as a character was generally very frustrating but I found myself liking her a lot! Interesting themes of religion, relationships with food, sexual discovery and problematic mothers. 4 stars!

Synopsis: Rachel is twenty-four, a lapsed Jew who has made calorie restriction her religion. By day, she maintains an illusion of existential control, by way of obsessive food rituals, while working as an underling at a Los Angeles talent management agency.
